Did you compile with Delphi 6?
My English is very bad, because of this I don't manage to explain better.
There is one more person with the same problem. The original email

Jason
I think the man may be correct and that it may have to do with the
TIB_LookupCombo component. My application ran fine under 4.2Ea but under
4.2Eb Delphi crashes without any error messages if I try so much as to view
a frame containing a TIB_LookupCombo within the development environment.
My application (which is an MDI one) uses a lot of frames and all of the
lookup combos are within frames (or within frames within frames). It
"seems" that any of the MDIChild forms which have the TIB_LookupCombo
exhibit this problem.
If you need any further info or would like me to try and put together an
example please advise.

I got lost where you say to "try to change the field state".
I've fiddled around with this as much as I can but your stated problem will
not duplicate for me.
I agree there appears to be a weird flicker but it isn't freezing or going
crazy on me as you state.
Please clarify things here so I am not running a wild-goose chase.
Thanks,
