Do you realise that in IB you can't stop a query? I don't know if this is material to your problem, though. I was just thinking that if you clicked the End button on a cursor query then what you are seeing is not a Refresh, but IBO displaying the Busy cursor as it fetches another packet of rows from the server.

Sorry, I can't throw any light on this. I don't use query forms. Jason will be able to explain what's going on when he gets back from Borcon on Thursday.
