I think it would be cool to make it an http post distribution mechanism. A
client can check a URL on the web and grab replication packets to apply to
its local database. FTP would probably be more standard but firewalls often
block FTP ports.

Any other ideas along these lines (not that I am going to do anything
immediate about it).
