direct advice. However I strongly suggest you look at some sort of
middleware solution, dont try to go directly to the IB server. I saw
mention of ASTA recently in this context but I imagine there are other
possibilities. I mention this primarily in regard to security, since
IMO IB security is not yet good enough.
I would also add that, in *some* circumstances, thin client solutions
(such as MS Terminal Services and MetaFrame) may be worth considering.
Allowing the application to be developed with minimal regard to
bandwidth and other environmental issues.
