Right now I would consider InterBase to be too insecure for such access.
Only do it if you can totally trust everyone who will receive a username and
password and change them frequently.
I say just use ASTA. But, I don't know if it has its security risks either.
I suggest you investigate this on the appropriate forums as I consider this
off topic for the IBO list.
