What I want is some concrete information that I can draw conclusions from.
Convey facts and avoid ambiguous terms.
This will require you to spend more time on your end isolating things but it
sure helps the rest of us help you.
The SQL trace monitor is the "tell all". If you say something like:

I did exactly this in the properties and when I prepared my statements this
is what was in the SQL trace going to the server... We can draw some
conclusions.

I think 9 times out of 10 you will simply solve your own troubles too.
