thanks. Meanwhile, I found out that all SourceForge projects are available
as a daily tar archive in the form:
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cvstarballs/projectname-cvsroot.tar.gz

Thus, http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cvstarballs/freeclx-cvsroot.tar.gz.

Now I only need to know how to convert the cvs tree ",v" files into regular
files ...
