If you a newcomer to Delphi, the IBO documentation won't help you at all as a learner's guide to Delphi. If you are a newcomer to databases, the IBO documentation won't help you *much*.

Beta documentation is available for InterBase 6 - six manuals in a 10Mb zip file. The Developer's Guide in this set provides the rudiments of developing for InterBase with Delphi. The principles there are OK (useful) but they do refer to a set of components with a much lower level of support than IBO. Download from http://www.interbase2000.org/ib_doc.htm.

A comprehensive InterBase/Firebird handbook with a large section on developing applications with IBO is scheduled to go to the publisher in November. See http://www.interbase2000.org/ib_handbook.htm.
