Which version of Interbase?

This was causing me severe headaches until I switch to IB6.
IB5.6 leaves connections open and closing the server is the
only way to clear them. Since a switch to IB6 I have not had
an problems from that over Frame Relay, and can simply
reopen the connection at will.

This does not work if you are in the middle of doing
something when the network drops, so I currently run a local
copy of data, and just post changes when required. This is
even handling the situation where British Telecom have STILL
to actually set up the network properly - we have
connections but don't ask us how - some 'pings' can take
seconds, and data rate can be down below 8kBAUD - but it
still runs without growth problems.
