I have just converted from Win98 to Win2000, reinstalling D5 and IBO
without problems. All my existing projects compile OK but crash with
SQL error -804 when run.

It seems that a select * now causes a -804 error. If I replace the *
with specific column names no error occurs except if the column is a
date field.

Does anyone have an idea as to what might cause this problem? Also
where do I find a definition of SQL errors?

Any help would be appreciated.
