Ok, this confirms something someone else was trying to get me to understand.
I will repeat more testing and see if I can find out how to fix this.

In short, I am having a hard time dealing with callbacks mixed with
master-detail relationships. This is the last major part of callback support
I am trying to iron out. If I cannot get it figured out then I will just put
things back the way they were without the hang-up.

I'll report back in a couple hours or less...
