You inserted a row and then cancelled it. The generator value allocated to
it is now gone along with the record. If you insert a new record it gets a
new generator value.
I don't think it should be any other way. To do so is asking for too much
complexity and trouble to maintain. I don't want to give any hint or
impression that I purport to deliver an unbroken series of key values and I
don't want to deceive someone into thinking that I do.
