I just put out a sub-release that should have the disappearing grid problem
resolved.
Hopefully I didn't break some other aspect. I tested very carefully and
didn't find any other side effects so this should be a done deal. I would
really appreciate it if those who were experiencing this problem would
kindly report back on whether this fix is satisfactory or not.
