I agree.

The IB and FB has several bugs that must be corrected and not contoured.

This is reason that IB's bugs 4 wasn't corrected yet.

That is why I am saying Firebird needs to do the right thing here.

If a cheap hack is going to get used, it needs to be one I can work with.
Otherwise, it won't just be IBO that gets broken. All other client libraries
which rely on RowsAffected will be broken too, and there are a lot of them.
