I just realised who wrote the original question, you already know
about Enh :-)

And Jason is correct - I specifically wrote my own combo base class to
avoid the various issues with the Windows API combobox. You will note
that Jason did something similar with IB_LookupCombo, which is
essentially a specialised combobox that does not derive from the
Windows combobox.
