I was wondering if it would be possible to mix IBO and IBX in the same
project. In other words, the IBO stuff would be used for almost all
the application, and only the TIBBackup and TIBRestore components of
IBX would be used for obvious purposes :-) since IBO doesn't actually
have such components.

Needless to say that when a backup or restore is done, the relevant
components will use an IBX connection without interfering with IBO
stuff.

What do you think about ?

Is it possible ?
Is a big overhead in the final executable expected mixing the two
things ?

This is also a good advice for Jason to implement these components
(without using GBAK) in IBO as well :-)
