is really just an attachment). I am not sure if the reason why I
have not seen HTML for a while is good netiquette from everyone on the
list, the fact that I asked the list to send me only text or the
removal of attachments.
The reason for questioning this is that recently I received (NOT from
this list) a copy of the Kakworm virus
(http://www.sarc.com/avcenter/venc/data/wscript.kakworm.html). The
virus comes embedded as script inside the HTML. This means that
simply reading the message is enough to activate the virus.
Thankfully I was using an upto date version of Outlook Express which
prevents the ActiveX from executing.
Just curious as to whether your suggestion of "virus proof" is
accurate or not. Does anyone receive HTML messages from this list any
more?
