I am currently working between two machines, one running IB5.6 and the
other IB6. IBConsole is useless in this configuration, but I can quite
happily work between the two machines in IB_WISQL. Pumping data from one
platform to the other. While logic would say that this should not
change, these things are anything but logical.

So the question was would a switch to 6.0.1 affect IB_WISQL's ability to
cross connect? As long as the change is in the server end, and does not
affect the client (GDS32.dll) then the answer SHOULD be NO. But having
been caught with cross connecting already I thought I would ask.

I probably stick to firebird anyway.
