Hi, Colin!
I was one of the main authors and team leader
of QuickDesk team.
I left EMS in september 2000 because
this company didn't want to pay for my
work.
So we started another project - IBExpert.
IBExpert and QuickDesk are very similar,
because IBExpert is based on QuickDesk source.
But now IBExpert has a lot of features that
QuickDesk haven't. For example:
1) SP Debugger supports IB 6 (quoted identifiers,
EXTRACT functions etc.)
2) Quick printing data from any grid.
3) Blob viewer and editor.
4) IBExpert is multilingual. You can customize
even hotkeys.
5) Automatic creation SELECT/UPDATE/DELETE/INSERT
procedures for the tables.
6) Multisorting in grids
7) Project View that is stored directly
in your database and allows you to create
most convinient hierarchie of DB objects.
8) Conditional breakpoints in SP Debugger
9) Some third-party plugins.
10) ... and many more.
Best regards,
Alexander Khvastunov
