I'm also a newbie to IBO - started yesterday - but I hope I can help
you. No, conversion is not automatical, you have to do it yourself.
Luckily there is an app, "GReplace", to do it easily. The app is
downloadable in the IBObjects site where is an online help describing
what _else_ to do. This same help file in also included the Delphi
package of the IBObjects.
