I have just installed the ibo components to my pc today.

I didn't expect it come with so many components (especially non bde
components) and sample programs. After browing thru the available
components, I actually have a crazy idea, may be what I need is just
a stardard version of Delphi + IBO.

Without reading the help and based on my little knowledge of
BDE/paradox programming, I simply dropped a IB_connection,
IB_Query (Add 'Select * from employee' to sql property),
IB_DataSource, IB_Grid and then specified a few properties to linked
the components. Great! it works. (the interbase server and database
is on another win98 machine).

Looks like its time to go though the tutorial now.

Would appreciate if any of you could advise me which are the main
components that I shall study/try out first?
