The other problem with FreeVCS is that it is Delphi only!
Anybody got suggestions for Builder?
I use BeyondCompare which Jason suggested, and keep a zipped copy of
each
sub-release source ( along with a zipped copy of the library set-up if
any
have changed). It has worked well when I have found a problem and can
identify
the sub-release it came in at, go back to that source and identify
relevant
changes. It worked well when I had to go back a major release and
library
update, which had gone wrong. I just wound back and restarted the
updates.
It also worked exceedingly well when an old customer rang up and wanted
a
four year old project re-working because of a couple of changes to their
operation. I still have C++ 5.0 and OWL available for support.
I have not seen this in any of the Version Control systems I have
looked at, but then I keep hitting 'Delphi Only' !
