download the tool IB_Backup from
http://www.equitania.de/interbase/downloads/IBBackup.zip
it is a GBak-wrapper with a very nice GUI from martin Schmid, also present
at this list.

It will let you do your Backups/Restores really easy without the probolems
of IBConsole
