I need the ledger in a project of mine too... (small cash register program).

If i have some code i will post it to the group.

BTW as i need replication in my next project and i love the open source
idea, i am thinking about building an open source alternative to the
existing one (one company on SA has one).

I would be able to create a web site and i also have a concept in my mind
(not yet on paper or so).
MY backround are 10 yrs Oracle in all the last 10 yrs versions and i know
their very much detailed replication concept which i will not copy but some
of it.

The first step for the replication project will be "simple" mirroring -
which is my first need.
Later the design has to be more sophisticated.
