For those playing IB6 on Linux.
You start IB_WISQL and everything looks fine.
You start a second IB_WISQL and it still looks fine,
The moment your open an IB_Event, you get a message
can't open a second connect. System hangs, IB6 Linux hangs.
After a few days I found it.
The Linux /etc/hosts file must start with
127.0.0.1 localhost (not followed by anything else)
a.b.c.d name-of-host
Guess setting up local network 10.x.x.x with Linux 14.2.2
really confused me or Linux.
Just tell me to ... if these findings are not worth posting
here :)
Best Regards,
Hans
