Yes it's feasible for MS-SQL to talk to Interbase via OLE-DB. Have them
look in MS-SQL documentation for Linked Servers. I would suggest that you
look at it yourself, so they wont come back and say that it's not
feasible. I have an example in the book "SQL Server 7 Developer's Guide"
that shows a MS-SQL server connecting to an Access 97 database via this
manner. On the other hand, Interbase to communicate to MS-SQL might be
trickier. It can be done via an external application and maybe using a UDF
to send a message to that application what to do. It would be a nice
feature for Interbase or Firebird to implement.
