FWIW, here's the link to the CleverComponents components I refered to:

They do seem to support synchronizing over the network, and they can synchronize both
data and metadata. However, it doesn't seem to be a replicator (so I suppose that by
"data synchronization" they mean plain synchronization, not replication).
