Well, if you can use ODBC to access the Excel source as
a "database", then Database Workbench can help - its
Schema Migrator tool can help you to map the types to
a new Firebird table. Later on, you can use its Datapump
tool to transfer the data from the Excel ODBC source to
Firebird.
