I am using fb 3 server:ServerMode=Super

I set FIREBIRD_LOCK to /tmp/firebird_mine   in .bashrc :

EXPORT FIREBIRD_LOCK)

I am using linux mint ver 18

1/ When I connect to my database I have the  error: Can not access lock files directory /tmp/firebird/, but I can connect to your example database employee.fdb ?

2/ In fact, don't know why opening /opt/firebird/examples/empbuild/employee.fdb by 
   libEngine12.so does not try to write to /tmp/firebird and 
   opening /home/med/Documents/mydatabase.fdb tries to write to /tmp/firebird.

3/ When I delete /tmp/firebird  I can connect to all fdb(s) ?

4/ the /tmp/firebird_mine is deleted when the server is restarted?

what gives.
