Subject Fwd: Windows Server HyperV Replication and Firebird Database
Author Shawn Mansour

Hello

I was hoping to something some assistance with regards to a Firebird Database and HyperV Replication.

I have a HyperV Host on Windows Server 2016 running an application server. On the application server we are running a program called Omni Accounts (Accounting Application) that uses the firebird database.

I would like to Create a HyperV Replica to a second machine and I wanted to understand if this could cause problems with the .fdb database.

The HyperV replication will happen every 30 seconds or 5 minutes (Still to be decided). The application and database is installed on a seperate virtual hard disk which would then be replicated. Because this replication will occur while work is being done on the database, could this cause data corruption?

Are there better solutions for a HyperV Environment?

Thanks
