The non-web services was in response to what Lester Caine posted: "While yahoo has it's problems, it's use 'email only' works for many of us and I for one have dropped lists which have moved to other more web based services." It sounded like he was assuming any move would be to a web-based forum, which I'm not in favor of.

In any event, the admins have made it clear they are not looking to move so we can drop it for the moment. I just do not think Yahoo has been a reliable or easy to use platform over the years. Adter being hosted here for so long it seems prudent to take a serious look at the alternatives, especially since these glitches keep coming back to Yahoo. Lots has changed over the past few years.
