   If these data match your .NET application, then you have problem with network hardware
or software: cables, routers, antivirus, firewall, etc.

1. Here server and client both are on the same machine, RajivPC. The deployed application has remote server. The exception caught in all cases are identical.

2. Execution of only one stored procedure has started to fail as the number of records to be fetched increased. Rest are still executing fine. Older set of records, lesser in number, are still fetched correctly.

3. On setting pooling to false, the application has stopped to hang after the exception was thrown.

4. To me the issue appears to be:

(a) On executing a long running query the .NET Provider connection gets dropped. The exception caught does not give much insight.

(b) In such a scenario the connection pool holds dropped connections. Further attempt to connect throw unhandled exceptions.
