Before the corruption all systems involved were restarted (windows-update, etc.). Could a unsave shut down of the database server explain the behaviour? Yes, if you're not using forced writes. ___ |
Martin wrote that the Firebird servers run in a VMware machine.
Due to that, the host might apply caching to the VM I/O so that forced writes within the VM have no effect (AFAIU).
