I’m about to set up a server which should run a firebird database.

Server type: windows server 2008

Installation: firebird V2.5.3 - SuperServer

I used fbexpert to ping to the firebird service from a remote pc (see picture0001). This worked properly.

I tried to connect to my database with fbexpert but it didn’t work (see picture0002). The windows firewall is off. The service is running (see picture0003). I’m able to connect local on the server but not from remote.
