You can't, as it would likely result in database corruption due to incorrect or insufficient locking. Instead you should use Firebird server, and let the clients connect to the server.

Hi all,
I am actually using firebird embedded V2.5.3 successfully on Windows 7.
I found that I can only open database files which are saved on the local PC.
Is there a way to open a databse file on a network share with firebird embedded?
What has the connectring to look like?
