Hi,
I have and application that connect to firebird database. This application works fine and after some minutes
firebird services down, therefore the application loses connection, the operating system start up service but I
restart the application but doesn't connect. I have to stop firebird and restart for the application work.
This situation is a big problem for the application, a billing system.
Information about application:
Programming Language: Delphi 2007
Component for database connection : BDE, IBPlus, FIBPlus
Firebird version: Firebird Superclassic 2.5.2 32x
This application use 5 databases, all in firebird.
Information about environment
--------------------------------------------
Server
OS Server: Microsoft windows server 2003, 2008 R2
On server runs Firebird and application for terminal services.
Some cases the server run a domain and service like dhcp and dns.
Clients
OS Clients: Microsoft windows Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8
On Clients run firebird and library fbclient for connect to server
Some clients uses Remote desktop or Terminal server on this machines. Nothing is installed.
Checks
-----------
I check the firebird.log and find several errors 10054 and 10038.
I check network infrastructure, switch, hubs, network cards.
I test network.
I run a backup/restore of all databases
I check domains and policies.
All this aspects and the problem persist.
Note: This application was migrate from Firebird 1.5 to 2.5. I verify SQL's,
I had the need to change a few sentences. Were modified without problem.
This situation is not presented with Firebird 1.5. I migrate to 2.5
for SMP Symmetric Multi-Processing, Performance and engine improvements.
I appreciate any help you can provide.
Best regards,
