Fresh install of Firebird 2.5.2 on Windows 7 Professional (32-bit). There is no previous installation on this machine (never was). Installed as an application choosing not to use the guardian.

The server is running. Any attempts to connect receive the message "cannot attach to password database"

Any ideas?
