I am having the strangest problem with by system. First, I am running Windows 7 64-bit with all the latest patches. I am also running Firebird 2.1.4.18393.
If I set the Firebird Guardian to start automatically, my system refuses to boot. It will come up part way and just hang before it displays the desktop. If I set Firebird to start manually, the system boots without any problems. After the system boots I can start Firebird manually without any problems.
There nothing in the system event logs that appears relevant. There is nothing in the Firebird.log file. In fact, there is not even a Guardian started message.
I am stumped!
