Hi,
According to the gfix manual
(http://www.firebirdsql.org/manual/gfix-dbstartstop.html), in a normal
shut down mode "unlimited connections can be made by the SYSDBA or the
database owner". Unfortunately, that's not the whole truth. Any user can
connect with the RDB$ADMIN role (of course, only when the role had been
granted). Tested on FB CS 2.5.0.26074, 32-bit Linux. Is this
intentional? In a way, it even makes sense. If so, I'd suggest stating
it clearly in the manual.
regards
Tomasz
