I also haven't found it in the change log of 2.1.5 snapshot:

Perhaps the core devs hear your voice in firebird-devel when asking for
backporting into 2.1.5?

Btw, what architecture do you use? If SuperServer, perhaps you haven't
restarted the server, but I'm sure you now that. Just to be sure.
