yes. But even you buy brand hardware, drivers can be bad in
performance.

For example, on some hardware Linux (CentOS) was 30% slower than
Windows (for FB Classic with ~400 active connections).
I do not use Linux :-) but our clients - use latest CentOS and Suse.
