You said you have .net application.
I use to, i populate DataTable object or DataSet from an sql command or
stored procedures or an entity (using entity framework) and pass this
object to report through SetDataSource.
Take a look at http://www.firebirdsql.org/en/net-examples-of-use/ and
ask more on firebird-net-provider list.
