No. nbackup is a physical, page by page copy of the database. It has many
advantages over gbak, including incremental backups and the ability to reflect
changes made during the backup. But only gbak (or another dump/reload
program) can change transaction id's on stored records.

With nbackup, all changes will be preserved.
