I have a one of many similar FB1.5 databases that is hanging in the
same spot when ever I try to do a backup. This is a 3.7GB database
and it is a table with a lot of records, but I have larger databases
and with more records in the table.
I have run a gfix -l and gfix -v -f and gfix -m, but every time I run
the backup (gbak -v) I see it stop at the same record count. Yet, I
can query that table without any errors. I have left the backup run
for hours and thought the cpu for fbserver stays high 90+% and it is
still reading and writing data to disk, the fbk file does not change
and the gbak process is idle.
Any thoughts on how to fix the database? I have had other databases
that I could not restore with fb1.5, but could restore with fb2.1.
But if I can't create a fbk file, then I would have to do a datapump
and that would be a lot of work.
