Hi guys,
I usually install recent Firebird versions on recent Linux distros but this time I had to install a FB 1.0.3 on CENTOS 5.5 64 bit (an HP Proliant ml110 G6 box)
Firstly I tried to install SuperServer from rpm package with no success, the service couldn't run and the log says something like "INET error"(Sorry, I don't have the text in my hands right now). Then I tried with Classic and it could install successfully but I feel the conections pretty much slower than SuperServer.
Is there a package that I must to install on CENTOS 5.5 in order to run sucessfully SuperServer on my linux box?
I really feel this server slower than other proliant versions (this has 6 GB of RAM), specially the HP MicroServer is twice faster with the same RAM. I'm just talking about using linux normally.
Do you have experiencied something similar?
Best regards,
