We are working on adding Firebird 2.1 to our product which is and will continue to be an IB 7.5.1 product.
The reason we are adding Firebird 2.1 is for logging purposes. The logging is done in a separate DB, requiring twice the IB licenses. This is exhausting the IB licenses for our customers, so we are moving the logging to FB 2.1.
When running the FB 2.1 install, it stops and says "An existing Firebird v1.0 / Interbase Server is running". We are trying to do a silent install, so is there some way to suppress this message? The /Force command line option isn't working.
The problem we are having is ONLY on XP, all works fine on Windows 7 64-bit.
