I need help to find a route for this upgrade.

-I dont need to bring along the data, metadata upgrade will do
-Metadata includes local characters (åäö in custom exceptions for example) in NONE charset db
-Big (huge?) database when it comes to # of triggers and procedures
-Tried backup/restore with -fix_ flags
-Tried fbcopy
-Tried scripting

Among different problems are
-errors when dealing with old CHECK constraint triggers
-how to produce a complete metadata script then can run and commit with regard to intra-db dependencies.

Any, and in perticular a comprehensive, help is appreciated,
