WOW! The Awakening began in the second full paragraph and progressed from there. What an interesting environment Microsoft has given us. I guess there is no way to completely avoid the potential of DLL Hell. Do you know if the standard Firebird 2.1X installation takes care of testing for, and installing the MSVC8 libraries? If not, I can see a need for me to do more work on my installation program.
