I use the ISO8859_1 in the DB and one of their collation (ES_ES_CI_AI)... and all works ok... I try to use utf8 because I guess it should works, but I get the same error... I think utf8 should work, but didn't... Do you know why not work with ñ Ñ, á, ó, etc.?

I do not have experience with Clarion but make sure you create the table
using Unicode and use unicode collate's
