Having recently installed Fb/2.5 on a Windows Server 2003 SE SP2, I
noticed some messages in the log.
--------------------------------------------------------------
21.02.2011 12:11 Guardian starting "<fbserver.exe>"
23.02.2011 16:26
I/O error during "ReadFile" operation for file "<db file name>"
Error while trying to read from file
The handle is invalid
25.02.2011 10:05 "<fbserver.exe>" terminated abnormally (4294967295)
25.02.2011 10.04 Guardian starting "<fbserver.exe>"
The last two messages are repeated at 11:47 and 13:56.
No other messages in the log.
--------------------------------------------------------------
About 0.5GB RAM (out of 4GB) is used, plenty of free disk
space. Only one 3GB database, no intensive use except for the gbak
restore, which was run twice. Not much use, but I did run a few
scripts creating users (the new "create user ..." SQL), and revoking
and granting privileges.
I'm somewhat reluctant regarding using this in a regular production situation.
Could it be Windoes acting up? The server was previousely used for
Fb/2.1.3, but there were memory problems when handling large number
of blobs - possibly related to CORE-1658. The server was rebooted
before swithcing to Fb/2.5.
Any advice ?
